Call for Submissions – Issue Four

Photography is a powerful tool for storytelling, connection, and preservation. "Through Your Lens" is a space dedicated to showcasing the perspectives of our readers; photographers who see the world with depth, passion, and purpose. Each issue, we invite you to submit a collection of images and a brief write-up based on a specific theme. Our goal is to create a dialogue through photography, encouraging both personal reflection and broader conversations about the landscapes, environments, and stories that shape us. Selected submissions will be featured in an upcoming issue of Gathered Light Magazine.

The Wildlife Issue

For our next issue, we turn our attention to wildlife. We want to explore the animals, large and small, familiar and hidden, that shape our inner and outer landscapes. Wildlife stories remind us that we share this planet with countless other beings, and that their survival is deeply connected to our own.

If you’d like to be featured, we welcome two paths of participation:

· Through Your Lens submissions: Send 4–6 images of wildlife along with a brief written description (one to two paragraphs) about your connection to the subject. What drew you to photograph these animals? What do they teach us about resilience, relationship, or responsibility?

· Q&A features: If you feel your work would fit as a larger feature with an interview, please email us first. We’ll be happy to discuss how your perspective might be included.

Submissions should include images (high-resolution if possible) and text in a Word doc or PDF.

Selected submissions will be published in Issue Four: The Wildlife Issue of Gathered Light Magazine.
