Your support helps fund each issue’s creation, printing, contributor outreach, and public access.

We gratefully acknowledge sponsors through print and digital credits, but all editorial decisions remain fully independent. Sponsorship never influences what we cover or how we tell stories.

Recognition is always optional, and we never share donor information. You can choose to remain anonymous or be listed with a link or message of support.

Every dollar helps sustain thoughtful, high-quality environmental journalism, photography, and publishing, and we’re deeply grateful for every contribution. journalists who are passionate about their work and strive to provide our readers with the most accurate and up-to-date information. 

What Your Support Funds
Each issue of Gathered Light Magazine currently costs $8,000–$10,000 to produce. This includes editorial planning, writing, design, digital publishing infrastructure, contributor outreach, and promotional work, all done independently and without staff or grant funding.

The first 50 print copies per issue are covered in that cost for promotion work. Additional print runs are supported by direct sales. Your support helps ensure that content remains accessible to all, not to subsidize profit, but to sustain thoughtful, original, mission-driven publishing.
